CES RESEARCH PROJECTS
A wide range of specific political issues are covered under the umbrella of five general research themes and the Centre produces ground-breaking research papers and organises events and seminars stemming from these, namely Political Organisations and Institutions, the Process of Policy, Economic and Social Policy reforms, the Role of EU Foreign Policy in Democratisation and Transatlantic Relations, Environment and Energy, and Ethics, Values and Religion.
In 2009 the main focus of the CES will be the production of research papers, 40-80 pages in length, presenting studies which are executed in a 2-3 or 4-6 month time period, unless otherwise specified. These research projects will focus on the development of the analytical dimension of the Centre’s activities and the creation of the appropriate infrastructure to ensure the highest quality of research. This will include the installment of a peer-review procedure and an expert review of each study. A stronger policy-recommendation dimension will be possible once this framework is in place. |
